Limited Edition med-dark holiday blend

Somebody in this village has been naughty, and it isn’t the gnomes.

This roast was inspired by our many adventures in Leavenworth, Washington, the beautiful little Bavarian village tucked into the Cascade Mountains. It's Christmas all year with its twinkling lights, fresh gingerbread cookies, hot mulled wine, Icicle brewery, nutcrackers and holiday shops. It's a magical village. The kind of place a Gnome family wants to stay forever. Garden gnomes got their start in 19th-century Germany, after all, so in a way we were just visiting the old country. Not to mention all the Enchanting hikes and alpine lakes there are in the forest. 

Mary Love (@flowergrrrlmary) brought this magical feeling to the bag. Two gingerbread gnomes stand in the snow outside a chalet that looks like it came straight off Front Street, all timber beams, icing trim and candy-cane posts. Look closely at the bottom of the bag, though. A certain pup has already helped herself to one of the gingerbread friends. 

THE BLEND:

The coffee is a blend of two origins, because every good holiday needs a little of both sides. The nice one: easygoing and comforting, with notes of crème brûlée, toasted walnut and dark chocolate. The naughty one brings the mischief: soft jasmine, a hint of stone fruit and a bright acidity that stays lively at this medium-dark roast. Together they taste like a bakery window in December, sweet and rich with enough sparkle to keep you coming back for another cup. It’s great as drip, and it makes a lively shot of espresso.

We roast every batch on a zero-emission Bellwether electric roaster. There are no gas burners and no smokestack, just good coffee with a lighter footprint.

This is a seasonal release, so once it’s gone, it’s gone until next year. Brew a pot, put on a sweater and pretend you’re walking down Front Street. Get one for yourself, one for the coffee lover on your list, and maybe one for whoever’s been naughty. We won’t tell.
